Backpack giveawayprogram
Through our annual Backpack Giveaway, local school children receive free backpacks (while supplies last) to help them succeed in the new school year, free screenings from local healthcare groups, and other fun giveaways.
More than backpacks
The event is geared toward school year preparation, local partners also offer free services to those in attendance. First weekend in August.

How to get involved

Volunteer your time
If you are interested in giving a few hours of your time to pack backpacks or hand out backpacks at the giveaway, please send us an email to volunteer!

If you would like to designate a financial gift to be used for backpacks please leave a note for us when you submit your gift on our give page.

Volunteer your business
Are you a local healthcare provider, dentist, hair stylist? We could use your help. Please email us to volunteer your services for the giveaway.
Our next event
The Backpack Giveaway is held annually in August.
Children must be present and accompanied by an adult to receive backpack.
